This Privacy Policy explains how Arrissa (Pty) Ltd, trading as Rebates Nation ("we", "us" or "our"), collects, uses and protects personal information when you use our website, web app and mobile app (the "Service"). We are the controller of this information.
If you have questions or want to use your privacy rights, contact us at
[email protected].
1. Information we collect
Information you give us:
•
Account details: your first and last name, email address and password. We store your password only as a secure one-way hash; we cannot see it.
•
Broker email: the email address you use with Exness, if it is different from your account email.
•
Email addresses you check: if you use the partnership check on our home page, the email address you enter.
•
Messages: anything you send us when you contact support.
Information we receive from Exness, as its partner, about accounts registered under our Partnership:
•
whether an email address is registered under our Partnership;
•
trading account numbers, account types, the country recorded on the account, and the dates each account was opened and last traded;
•
trading volume, number of trades, the partner commission for your trading, and the Rebates calculated, paid, pending or rejected, with their dates.
We do not receive, and never ask for, your Exness password, payment card or bank details, identity documents, or account balance.
Information collected automatically:
•
Technical data: your IP address, device and browser type, and server logs of requests to our Service, used for security and troubleshooting.
•
Approximate location: the country worked out from your IP address. We use it only to show the Service in your language.
•
Settings stored on your device: your login session, chosen language and theme. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking.
2. How we use your information
•
To create and run your account, verify your email address and keep you signed in.
•
To check whether your Exness accounts are registered under our Partnership, link them, and ask Exness to place them in the right rebate group.
•
To work out Levels, show your Rebates, payment history and progress, and apply the rules in our Terms.
•
To send service emails, such as email verification, security notices, and changes to our Terms or rebate levels.
•
To prevent, detect and investigate fraud, abuse, and breaches of our Terms, including accounts linked by someone who does not own them.
•
To keep the Service secure, fix problems and improve it.
•
To meet legal, tax, accounting and regulatory obligations, and to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
We only send marketing emails if you have agreed to receive them, and you can opt out at any time.
Where the law requires a legal basis for using personal information, we rely on: performing our contract with you (running the Service and your Rebates); our legitimate interests (security, preventing abuse, and improving the Service), balanced against your rights; our legal obligations; and your consent where we ask for it.
3. Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with:
•
Exness: to check partnership status, link accounts, assign rebate groups and look into rejected Rebates. Exness handles your data under its own privacy policy.
•
Service providers who help us run the Service, such as hosting, database, and email delivery (Google). They may only use your data to provide their services to us.
•
Our IP location provider (ipwho.is), which receives your IP address to tell us your approximate country.
•
Authorities, courts or regulators, where the law requires it, or where it is needed to protect our rights, our users or others, or to prevent fraud.
•
A buyer or successor, if our business is sold, merged or restructured. They must protect your information in line with this policy.
4. International transfers
Our service providers and Exness may process information in countries other than yours, where data protection laws may differ. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for these transfers, such as standard contractual clauses.
5. How long we keep it
We keep your account information while your account is open. After it is closed, we keep the information we need for accounting, tax, fraud prevention and legal claims for up to 5 years, or longer if the law requires it, and then delete or anonymise it.
Email addresses entered in the home page partnership check are sent to Exness to get an answer and are not stored by us unless you go on to create an account. Server logs are kept for a limited period for security.
6. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including password hashing, access controls and encrypted connections. No system is completely secure. Keep your password private, and tell us straight away if you think your account has been accessed without your permission.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
•
access the personal information we hold about you and get a copy of it;
•
correct information that is wrong or incomplete (you can edit your name and email in Settings);
•
ask us to delete your information, or to restrict or object to how we use it;
•
receive your information in a portable format;
•
withdraw consent where we rely on it;
•
complain to your local data protection authority (in South Africa, the Information Regulator).
To use these rights, email
[email protected] from the address on your account. We may need to verify your identity first. Some requests are limited by law. For example, we may keep records we must retain, and deleting your data with us does not delete what Exness holds about your trading accounts. For that, contact Exness directly.
8. Children
The Service is only for people aged 18 or over. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone younger. If you believe a minor has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy. The "Last updated" date shows when it last changed. We will tell you about material changes by email or in the Service.
